Encryption
NOTEFILE can save NTF files in encrypted form; TXT files cannot be encrypted. NOTEFILE uses a combination of a standard and a proprietary encryption mechanism which is using the same password for encrypting and decrypting the file. You can specify that you want to encrypt a file by giving a password in the File Setup... dialog box.
Note: Forgotten passwords may not be recovered and you will not be able open an encrypted file, unless you give the correct password. Please, do not ask me to recover forgotten passwords. See also Troubleshooting.
