New File Command
Purpose
The New command is used to clear any notes file currently loaded in memory and start with a new empty notes file.
To open a new notes file
- From the File menu, choose New.
- If there is already a notes file in memory that is not saved, you are prompted to save it.
Tip: After a new notes file is created in memory, first you need to add a card and then edit it. You can continue adding or editing cards. Finally, you need to save your notes file. Since a new notes file does not yet have a name , you can either use the Save or Save As command. In any case, you will be prompted to give a name to your new file.
The new file can be saved in either NTF or TXT format. However, NTF is the recommended format, since the file setup information and your encrypted data cannot be saved in TXT format.
