NTF Format
NTF is the new (proprietary) format introduced by NOTEFILE and is used to store your notes data together with some configuration data (such as Quick Search Items...) in a single file with the .ntf extension. By using this format, the configuration information and the contents of each card are stored as separate records in a binary file. The data is compressed, so it generally takes much less space than a TXT file. You also have the option to encrypt the file by giving a password in File Setup....
Since the NTF format is proprietary, there is no other application that can
read
an NTF file created by NOTEFILE. To transfer your data to other
applications, you must either Copy and Paste each card separately, or save
your entire file as a TXT file and import it into another application.
