Personal Notes File

Change Case ▶ Command

Purpose

The Change Case command is used to change the case of the selected text to lowercase or to UPPERCASE or to tOGGLE tHE cASE (i.e., convert lower to UPPER and UPPER to lower) or to Capitalize the selected text (i.e., convert the first letter of each word to UPPER and the rest to lower). Conversion will first use the definitions given in a Translit File that exists in the same directory as NOTEFILE executable. Before using these commands, the appropriate translit language must be selected in the File | Setup... dialog.

To change the case of a text

  1. Select the text you want to change the case.
  2. From the Edit menu choose Change Case ▶.
  3. From the Change Case submenu choose lowercase, UPPERCASE, tOGGLE cASE, or Capitalize as appropriate. For example, a selected text such as Boğaziçi Üniversitesi will be converted to upper case like BOĞAZIÇI ÜNIVERSITESI if a translit language like English or German is in effect. However, if the selected translit language is Turkish, then it will converted like BOĞAZİÇİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ.

This command is unavailable if you have no selected text.
